BTB Signs Contracts with Belizean Artists & DJs Performing at BIMFF 2.0

BELIZE CITY, Belize (June 28, 2023) –  As the date for the highly anticipated Belize International Music and Food Festival 2.0 (BIMFF) gets closer, the Belize Tourism Board (BTB) today increased the momentum by formalizing its partnership with over 30 Belizean artists and 20 DJs, who will take stage at the energetic event.

Several of the artists and DJs were selected during pre-festival events held countrywide from March to June this year. The Belizean artist line-up includes TR Shine, Stig D Artist, Sweet Pain 3.0, Yas Thalia, Flako Leslie, TY Musik, Ivan D Great, Master G, Brittney Star, Harrison Doggy, Coconu Bwai, King Anz, Bad Gyal Sharon, Dre Musiq, Tyree, Cassanova, Hubee, J Cas, Papa John, TLC Band, Centah Stayge, Raven, Kylon Eiley, Supa Furia, Esko, Trisha Stokes, Wilson Grinage, Alex Evans, Cindy the Violinist, Gilharry 7, the Garifuna Collective, Punta Rebels, and Chico Ramos. This year’s DJs include DJ Cas, Stone Jam, Cloud 9, Static Sound, DJ Frisco, YG, Aktion One, Mr. Jerraz, Tagg International, DJ Silva, DJ Kad, Mac 90, Evolution Sounds, Fyah Statah, DJ Debbie, DJ Jago, DJ Lala, Xklusive Sound, and Night Quest.

Contracts were signed between several of the performers and the BTB during a brief ceremony held this morning at the House of Culture in Belize City. Signing on behalf of the Belize Tourism Board was Mr. Evan Tillett, Director of Tourism. In his remarks, Director Tillett stated that the BIMFF “Serves as a stepping stone for the growth and development of Belizean Artists, enabling them to reach new heights in their musical journeys.”

The second edition of the Belize International Music and Food Festival, is set to take place on July 29 and 30, 2023. This lively celebration will unfold at the Marion Jones Sporting Complex in Belize City with a star-studded line-up showcasing a diverse range of musical genres, including Punta, Dancehall, Reggae, Soca, Afrobeats, Brukdown, Paranda, EDM, Latin and more.

Attendees will dance the night away to sensational performances by renowned international performers such as Morgan Heritage, Dance Hall Queen Spice, Busy Signal, Lyrikal, Adam O, Jadel, Erphaan Alves, Skinny Fabulous, Rotimi, and Byron Messia.

The mesmerizing performances will be complemented on both days by a vibrant culinary landscape, showcasing a wide array of foods from local businesses across Belize. Attendees can take advantage of the day event on both days from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Entrance is free of cost! Then get ready for the night performances starting at 6:00 p.m.

The Belize International Music and Food Festival was conceived by the Belize Tourism Board as a dynamic platform for Belizean Artists to showcase their exceptional talent, foster connections within the industry, and establish avenues for international growth. The event aims to increase domestic, regional, and international tourism traffic during the industry’s historically slow season. Moreover, the Belize International Music and Food Festival plays a vital role in supporting the growth and development of Belize’s orange economy.
