Belize City, Monday, November 28th, 2017– As a part of its continuous efforts to foster the development of our dynamic Tourism Industry and keep stakeholders informed, the Belize Tourism Board (BTB) launched today its BTB Cruise App.

The Cruise App aims in establishing a mobile presence in the Cruise Industry and is designed to share the cruise ship schedule with our valued stakeholders. In developing this modern and user friendly hybrid mobile app for IOS and Android devices, it will display all cruise ship calls scheduled to Belize as well as notify its users of any changes or cancellations.

The Cruise App will also allow the BTB to send necessary notifications to Cruise stakeholders.  Director of Cruise and Destination Planning, Ms. Noriko Gamero stated “ The BTB developed  the Cruise app with the intent to engage stakeholders with real time information on Cruise ship schedules, statistics, notifications and important contacts” she continued by saying “all stakeholders will have real time information of additional calls to port or cancellations made to a port. There will also be a contact view and this is in case of emergency or any type of notification that needs to be sent, they will be able to have real time access to call/email information of the Belize Tourism Board, Ministry of Tourism, ship agents and even the Police Department. ”

Industry Partners have also had positive reviews about the new application, Mr. Alvaro Zetina, Ship Agent at the FSTV said “The BTB Cruise app includes all the necessary information for anyone working in the Cruise Sector would need.
