BTB’s 9th Digital Marketing Summit Sparks Innovation Across Industries

Belize City, Belize, Friday, May 9, 2025: Today, the Belize Tourism Board (BTB) held its 9th Digital Marketing Summit at the Belize Civic Center in Belize City. The highly anticipated event delivered strategic insights relevant across various industries. It gave participants the tools and knowledge to elevate their marketing strategies in an increasingly dynamic digital landscape.

This year’s summit featured several international experts, who sparked insightful discussions on emerging trends and facilitated engaging workshops and breakout sessions. Key topics included digital strategy, social media, content creation, and data-driven decision-making.

The event was officially opened by Mr. Evan Tillett, Director of Tourism, who remarked, “While we continue towards securing big-ticket, big-picture components, like seamless air connectivity and funding for sustainable policies, we look to the marketing professionals, creatives, and entrepreneurs—to lead, craft, and deliver transformative products and services to everyone.”

Representatives from prominent companies such as Yampi, LeapPoint (an Adobe partner), Bacardi, Vetrano Digital Agency, Development Counsellors International, Los Angeles Distribution and Broadcasting, The Story Catcher, TM Americas, and The Zimmerman Agency were featured speakers. 

Mrs. Michelle Bowers-Flowers, Director of Marketing and Communication, closed off the event by stating, “Digital marketing continues to be a powerful tool for growth, connection, and transformation across all industries.” The summit served as a hub for innovation and professional development. It reaffirmed Belize’s dedication to leveraging cutting-edge digital tools to strengthen its global presence in the travel industry and beyond.

The event welcomed 300 participants from across the tourism sector and affiliated industries.
