Belize City, Belize, August 13, 2025: Belize continues to expand its international connectivity with increased seasonal service from Canada’s leading airlines, WestJet and Air Canada, further positioning the destination as a top choice for North American and European travelers seeking culture and adventure.
The Belize Tourism Board (BTB) is pleased to announce the return of WestJet’s seasonal flights from both Toronto and Calgary, launching October 30, 2025. This season is starting earlier and extending longer through May 10, 2026. The airline has also added Monday service, which now brings the total flight capacity up by an impressive 45% over last season.
“WestJet’s expanded commitment to Belize reflects the growing demand we continue to see from Canadian travelers,” said Hon. Anthony Mahler, Minister of Tourism, Youth, Sports and Diaspora Relations. “With more frequency and more seats, Belize is becoming even more accessible for winter getaways and extended stays.”
Meanwhile, Air Canada will launch its new direct route from Montreal to Belize City on December 8, 2025, marking a key milestone in diversifying the Canadian market. Air Canada’s Toronto to Belize City service also resumes on December 12, 2025, ensuring strong winter connectivity from two of Canada’s largest cities. Together, these routes are expected to strengthen ties between Belize and Canada and offer broader access for European travelers connecting through major Canadian hubs.
